Reading Log
Students must read a minimum of 120 minutes a week. I am flexible as to how you and your child will achieve this. Each student is required to fill out the Reading Log with the book title and how long they read. A parents signature is required. I am asking that each student answer one of the reading comprehension questions on the back of the Reading Log.
Math Facts
It's incredibly important for our 3rd graders to be fluent and accurate with their math facts. Students need to practice a total of 60 minutes each week. This can be through worksheets, flashcards, On-line games or apps. Once again I am flexible as to how your child achieves the allotted time. Below are a few links for your convenience.

Gold Rush Draft
On Thursday we are going to have an NFL football draft in class...that’s right, a draft! We are going to become better mathematicians and geographers by enjoying some football this season. For your homework do a little research on teams in the NFL and think about which team you might like to choose. Remember this is a draft so you might not get your top choice, have a few teams in mind. Also remember that you might not get any of the teams you think you want, but any team in the NFL could win the Super Bowl. You never know! Come to school ready on Thursday morning for some football!!
